In 2023, we had the opportunity to meet a Turkish bearing wholesaler at the Turkey exhibition. They introduced us to their customer, a leading automobile manufacturer, who was facing issues with their automatic transmission production line. We’ve been working closely with them ever since.

The problem?

The bearings they were using couldn’t handle high speeds without developing excess play. On top of that, small batch orders were often delayed due to supplier capacity limits. Their customer needed a supplier who could respond quickly and provide stable, high-performance bearings.

Custom Gearbox Bearings to the Rescue

To solve this, we looked closely at the customer’s needs. They required bearings that could withstand high temperatures and reduce wear. After analyzing the situation, we realized the gearbox bearings also needed to handle high speeds and frequent shifting without deforming.

Our solution? A custom double-row angular contact ball bearing with a reinforced cage. We chose materials that could handle the high-speed, high-impact conditions of the transmission, ensuring a longer-lasting and more reliable product.

Quick Response and Successful Testing

Within just 3 days, we selected the right materials (high-temperature nylon 66 with fiberglass) and optimized the bearing design. We produced a prototype in 7 days, which passed testing with flying colors. The new bearings worked perfectly in the high-speed conditions, solving the issue of bearing play that had troubled the customer.
